Yes, it’s shorter to keep the plug out of the direct flow of fuel and sit it in the spray as this works more efficiently, especially when the car starts to run into temperature correction and over-fuel to compensate… this setup can help alleviate issues with bore-wash as long as the engine isn’t already too far gone.
